Life got crazy. House projects. Deconstruction. Reconstruction. Extra kid for 8 days. Personal things. Yet, how often is life like that?
I’m loving all of the good honest growth and changes lately.
But, with all of that some things have slid backwards. My exercises, my knitting and crafting mojo, and writing in this blog.
It’s been a BLAST having my boys around. One of our sons owns his own construction company, and one of my other sons is his star (ok, only!) employee. We hired them to finish the drywall in our main living area. If you’re in the Keweenaw, and have a project in mind, look them up. Cross Cut Construction.
It’s been so much fun making them lunches and coffees, and watching the project take place at a fast pace (for a change!) How come sometimes when all the kids are little, it’s easy to forget what a complete honor that is, to make them food and spend oodles of time together… then it takes them moving out in order to really more deeply appreciate and enjoy.
Ahhh, fickle me.
I don’t have a lot of brain space to write a lot of details about this construction project, but maybe some other day. Let’s just say that getting to the point of needing to pick out paint colors for the main living space has been a loooong time in coming!
The boys are all getting really tired of hearing about all of my point choice dilemnas. So it’s fun having their girlfriends over. They can empathize with my nonsensical attempts at deliberation in something that doesn’t REALLY matter that much, but yet, oh-so-fun!
Family fun…………. Easter Egg CHASE! Saw this idea online! Tape the eggs to the older siblings! In our case it was older siblings + aunties + future daughter inlaw. Then, sick the younger kids after them. It was hilarious + fun.
